Tai Chi

YEMNASTEKE  YA  ZOIE

Tai Chi (Pronounced Tie Chee). Yemnasteke Ya Zoie (Exercise Of Life). This is uniquely simple movement exercise and relaxation program that is excellent for all ages and physical abilities. It is recognizable as a ” Slow Motion Moving Meditation" "A Philosophy In Movement.” It is based on a combination of ancient Chinese arts used thousands of years ago and intertwined with philosophy.  Tai Chi is practiced all over the world, by all types of people.  It is a gentle, low to no impact workout designed to increase your mental and physical energy through a series of simple, stress reducing exercises.  These exercises are so easy, just about anyone can do them. You need to have or buy no special equipment.  The slow and graceful steps rarely produce perspiration and yet constitute a well-engineered workout that loosens, strengthens, improves muscle tone, and can even aerobically condition.  It helps with relaxation, is excellent for overall circulation, and encourages a focus on healthful living.  Tai Chi may also compliment your physical pursuit by balancing it with an enhanced inner game.

Tai Chi can help one achieve total harmony of mind, body, and spirit.  You can exercises everyday or whenever you like because it can be performed anywhere anytime. Practiced in the morning it prepares the mind and body for the day ahead.  When practiced later in the day it relieves tension, stress, and re-energies.

Tai Chi increases balance, flexibility, strength, physical power, endurance, and vitality in a way that does not strain muscles, over -activate the heart, or cause over- exertion or stress.  It may help to maintain youth, vitality and slow the aging process through rejuvenation.  It is the most mental of physical activities and therefor can improve memory, learning ability and creativity.  It promotes contentment and intellectual calm, while it sharpens and clears the mind.
